What people are saying

Mike R.

I’ve tried a lot of hunting blinds over the years, but this one stands out. Easy to set up, incredibly comfortable, and the concealment is impressive. You can stay out there for hours without feeling it.

Chris M.

I was skeptical at first, but after a full season using it, I’m convinced. Quiet, comfortable, and built tough. Exactly what you want when you're out before sunrise.

Jason T.

What I like most is the comfort. You can stay still longer without fatigue, which really makes a difference during late season hunts.

Brandon L.

Solid build quality and smart design. Everything feels thought through, from the materials to the way it blends into the environment. Definitely worth it.

Daniel K.

Treow gear feels like it was designed by people who actually hunt. The hammock system makes long sits way easier, and the camouflage blends perfectly in the woods.

Real Hunting Experience

History of Hunting

Before the Common Era

The Beginning of Hunting

Long before cities and civilizations appeared, hunting was the primary way humans survived. Early hunters relied on the simplest tools made from wood and stone. Sharpened spears, stone knives, and primitive traps helped them secure food.

Hunting during this time required observation, patience, and the ability to blend into the environment. People learned to move quietly, wait for the right moment, and use natural cover. These skills became the foundation of hunting culture that would continue to evolve for thousands of years.

40,000 Years Ago

The First Hunting Tools

Over time humans began improving their weapons. Stone tips were added to spears and stronger wooden shafts were developed. These improvements allowed hunters to take down animals more effectively and with less risk.

Hunting became more organized. Groups of hunters worked together to surround animals and guide them toward traps or narrow areas of terrain. Early hunting strategies and teamwork started to take shape.

20,000 Years Ago

The Invention of the Bow

The invention of the bow marked one of the most important moments in the history of hunting. Hunters could now strike from a distance while remaining hidden.

This changed the entire approach to hunting. Position and concealment became even more important. Hunters began spending longer periods waiting and observing animal behavior before taking a shot.

10,000 Years Ago

The First Hunting Shelters

As hunting techniques evolved, hunters started building simple shelters using branches, grass, and leaves. These shelters helped them stay hidden from animals and allowed them to watch the landscape for longer periods.

During this time the idea of the hunting blind began to form. Hunters realized that the right cover could be just as important as the weapon itself.

The Middle Ages

Hunting as Tradition

During the Middle Ages hunting became more than a way to obtain food. It grew into a cultural tradition that was passed down through generations.

Hunters began paying more attention to equipment, strategy, and the organization of hunts. Specialized tools and more advanced methods of concealment gradually appeared.

19th Century

The Rise of Modern Weapons

With the development of industry, hunting began to change rapidly. Firearms appeared and dramatically improved both range and accuracy.

Even with these technological advances the core principles of hunting remained the same. Hunters still needed patience, awareness of the environment, and the ability to choose the right position.

20th Century

Camouflage and Mobility

During the twentieth century camouflage technology began to develop quickly. New patterns and materials helped hunters blend more naturally into their surroundings.

Hunting equipment also became lighter and more portable. Hunters could move more easily and set up concealment wherever conditions required.

Today

Treow Outdoors

Today hunting continues to evolve by combining tradition with innovation. Treow Outdoors develops equipment designed to make ground hunting more comfortable and more effective.

One of the key solutions is the Bole Blind. Its shape is inspired by a natural tree trunk which helps the blind blend naturally into the environment.

The story of hunting continues. From the earliest spears to modern equipment that allows hunters to stay connected with nature while respecting the balance of the wild.
